If you would like to call someone with a private/anonymous/blocked caller ID you would need to dial with a "67". For example if you would like to call the number 212-555-1212 with a blocked caller id you would dial "6712125551212" from your phone and then hit send. 

Keep in mind you cannot block your caller ID when calling toll free an various information and emergency numbers.
